Serious side effects are not expected with both forms of this medication. However, please seek emergency medical attention if you experience an allergic reaction (such as difficulty breathing, closing of your throat, swelling of your lips, tongue, or face, or hives) when using nedocromil inhalation.

Less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to use nedocromil and talk to your doctor if you experience:

For nedocromil inhalation
a dry mouth
an unpleasant taste
mild nausea after use

For nedocromil ophthalmic
eye burning, stinging, irritation, itching, or redness
eye sensitivity to light
headache
unpleasant taste
nasal congestion

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that is unusual or especially bothersome.
