FDA Information
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved TiladeŽ (nedocromil sodium inhalation) in April 1997, and AlocrilŽ (nedocromil sodium ophthalmic solution) in December 1999 .
TiladeŽ is only FDA-approved for use in adults and children older than 6 years of age. AlocrilŽ is not recommended for use in children less than 3 years of age.
A prescription is required for both forms of nedocromil.
